Foundry Grade Chromite Sand

Foundry Grade Chromite Sand is mostly composed of iron and chrome oxides. It is a by-product of ferrochrome production and is mostly utilized in the manufacture of glass and foundry applications. Chromium ore sand is primarily utilized as surface sand for big steel castings in the casting process to prevent sand from adhering to the castings' surfaces. Foundry Grade Chromite Sand is used in the manufacture of steel to protect the sliding gate in large steel holding ladles.
